Overview

Powered Girl is a comprehensive empowerment program designed to increase female participation in STEM fields across Ghana. Through mentorship, hands-on learning experiences, and leadership development opportunities, we're creating a new generation of confident, skilled young women ready to lead in technology and innovation.

The Problem

Ghana faces a significant gender gap in STEM education and careers, with girls often discouraged from pursuing science and technology subjects. Cultural barriers, lack of female role models, and limited access to quality STEM education contribute to low female participation in these critical fields.

Our Solution

Our multi-faceted approach includes: mentorship programs pairing girls with successful women in STEM, hands-on robotics and coding workshops, leadership development and public speaking training, scholarship opportunities for outstanding participants, and career guidance and internship placements.
